Day 18 and 19 - Travel and work
I know you all are thinking I just fell off the face of the earth. But no I still exist. I am writing up a short summary of the two days of travel and work I did.
After Great Basin I drove to an AirBNB in Twin Falls ID, The next morning my shoulder really hurt so I decided not to do the state park nearby and made an executive adventure decision. Boise, ID was on the route and it had a fancy new Regal Theater showing Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. So yes I drove almost two hours for a movie lol.
From there I made it to my hotel for some much needed downtime. I also got lucky and they served a good breakfast so I was able to eat breakfast and work for several hours the morning of the 3rd before heading out to my next stop. This was a planned morning work day to get some July stuff done.
Next stop was Winthrop WA. I literally had NO clue about this town. I picked it totally on cheap airbnb for a nights rest. While the AirBNB, Mountain Hostel, was okay, the town was amazing!!! I mean its a western town ALA ranching sort of themed in the middle of the Cascades.
Cascades Scenic Byway is amazing. Will talk about that later for sure. But here is some shots of Winthrop. Had a great dinner and then enjoyed some brews and talked to the locals at the Old Schoolhouse Brewery.
